Introduction

World Beyond War is a global nonviolent movement to end war and establish a just and sustainable peace.

The challenge

We were challenged to design a fully playable tabletop game. The theme had to be centered on war but with a clear anti-war message.

The game needed to include both PvP (Player vs Player) and PvE (Player vs Environment) elements, and supporting single-player and multiplayer campaigns.

Our game: We Come In Peace!

Instead of glorifying conflict, we used war as the setting but peace as the objective.

Players must stabilize defense and infrastructure, but ultimately, education becomes the true path to victory.

Violence isn’t an option; success depends on gathering knowledge and uniting skilled individuals to deliver one message: “We Come in Peace.”

While the game includes PvP dynamics like trading and competition, the end goal is collective. When one player wins, everyone wins, ending the war and bringing peace.

This was our first game development project. We debated, iterated, and collaborated through every challenge. Seeing it finally come to life in Tabletop Simulator made the entire journey worth it.
