Introduction

While studying at Changemaker Educations, I was invited by a classmate, Denise Swartling, to join a team alongside two other peers. Denise’s brother, Peder Swartling, co-founder of Inconsu, approached us to help them visualize a product concept for potential investors.

Inconsu had a strong business idea but needed a clear design direction to showcase how the platform could optimize the experience for three key audiences:

  • Travel companies

  • Travelers

  • Local excursion providers

Process

We were given creative freedom, with regular stand-ups to check in on progress. We kicked off with deep research into how each target group communicates and what they expect from a travel platform.
 

Using Miro, we mapped out the user flow, focusing primarily on the traveler journey while ensuring the design would serve all three groups.

Key features

We designed a concept tailored to travelers booking trips to South Africa with S.A. Travel:

  • Smooth start: secure sign-in and a frictionless onboarding experience

  • Smart suggestions: AI-driven recommendations for solo adventurers, couples, and groups

  • Streamlined booking: intuitive flow from selection to payment

  • Excursion hub: clear pricing, authentic reviews, and direct contact with local providers

Design

We aimed for a calm, trustworthy experience—grounded yet inspiring:

  • Clean canvas: white background to spotlight high-quality visuals and avoid distraction

  • Subtle guidance: blue accents on buttons and CTAs to gently lead user actions

  • Expandable content: users can reveal more when they’re ready

  • Visual storytelling: immersive imagery and layouts to spark curiosity and exploration

Our three hypothesis

Group saving or paying off debts together with someone else keeps you motivated.
A mascot can be a powerful business tool, enhancing user engagement and brand connection.
A budget tracker can help people understanding their finacial behaviours.

Outcome

At the final presentation, stakeholders from both Inconsu and a partnering agency were highly satisfied with the prototype and pitch deck.

A few weeks later, we learned that our work helped Inconsu secure investor funding!

 

That success was a proud moment for our team!
