The challenge
In collaboration with World Beyond War.
We were challenged to design a fully playable tabletop game centered on the theme of war—but with a clear anti-war message.
The game needed to include both PvP (Player vs Player) and PvE (Player vs Environment) elements, supporting single-player and multiplayer campaigns.
Our game: We Come In Peace!
Instead of glorifying conflict, we used war as the setting—but peace as the objective.
Players must stabilize defense and infrastructure, but ultimately, education becomes the true path to victory.
Violence isn’t an option; success depends on gathering knowledge and uniting skilled individuals to deliver one message: “We Come in Peace.”
While the game includes PvP dynamics like trading and competition, the end goal is collective. When one player wins, everyone wins, ending the war and bringing peace.
This was our first game development project, and it pushed us. We debated, iterated, and collaborated through every challenge. Seeing it finally come to life in Tabletop Simulator made the entire journey worth it.
